proHNS is providing contract administration and inspection services for this downtown Juneau project that will replace the existing 8″ ductile iron water main with new 10″ HDPE water main, a new 10″ gate valve, and associated water services to nearby State-owned buildings. Other work items include replacement of a single sewer manhole, a short section of sewer pipe, and two services. Four drainage structures and four 12″ CPP drain pipes will also be added, and existing utility conduits will likely need to be relocated to avoid conflicts with new pipes. Existing curb and gutter, sidewalk, handrails, and asphalt pavement will be removed and replaced in a slightly different configuration following construction of a new structural section. An existing wooden walkway will be removed and replaced to meet current ADA and IBC standards.
