The Cascade Flats Event Center is a custom-designed, multi-purpose venue space for a private client in Sedro-Woolley located at the foothills of Washington’s North Cascades National Park.
The project began in 2020 as a concept for seven acres of pasture lands and proHNS was contracted to provide initial conceptual drawings to assist the developer with a feasibility evaluation. In 2022, proHNS moved ahead with civil site and utility design for a RV park, which went through several design iterations in response to wetland buffers and development restrictions. The project evolved to become a 5,000 square foot stick-built wedding and event center, complete with bioswales adjacent to parking areas, ADA walkways, and property landscaping.
Our engineering team worked diligently to provide our client with civil site design, including plans for water and sewer utilities, parking lot layout and traffic circulation, signage and striping, and landscaping. We coordinated directly with the project’s developer to meet the municipal code requirements of the City of Sedro-Woolley, ensuring that clear resolutions and compliance were provided throughout the process. The responsive workflow upheld by the proHNS team supported the evolving needs of the project to ensure that our client’s vision was successfully achieved, bringing a welcoming new gathering space to the community of Sedro-Woolley.
