proHNS Project Manager Mary Larsen stepped up to perform special inspection for a foundation stabilization project in Juneau last week. The project required installation of helical pile piers, a type of pile support system used for stabilizing existing structures or supporting new construction foundations in areas of poor ground stability. The piers were augured into the ground up to 20 feet deep to reach the bearing soil layer below, with support plates subsequently hydraulically jacked into place and permanently bolted to prevent continued settlement of the structure.
We’re proud to employ engineers and technicians with the expertise to help our clients solve these kinds of challenges.
