We are excited to announce proHNS will be providing Contract Administration and Inspection services for the Alaska Department of Transportation’s Egan Drive 10th to Main Street Improvements in the heart of downtown Juneau.
Contractor SECON plans to break ground on the $14.3 million project by June of this year, focusing on the stretch of Egan Drive between Willoughby and Whittier Streets. When complete, improvements to the area will include new pavement, improved pedestrian and bicycle facilities, new storm drainage collection systems, repaired retaining walls, and more.
proHNS has dedicated a robust team of experienced Project Engineers, Office Engineers, and Engineering Technicians to this project in an effort to ensure it moves forward smoothly and successfully.
This season’s work will necessitate a change in Egan Drive’s traffic patterns, including a reduction to one lane of traffic in each direction in select work zones. No left turns will be allowed between Main Street and Douglas Bridge.
For updated information on specific construction activities and expected impacts, visit the project website at www.egandriveproject.com, where you can sign up for email notifications. You can also Follow the project on Facebook at the Egan Drive – 10th Street to Main Street Improvements page.
proHNS is proud to be involved in this high-profile, logistically challenging project that will make downtown Juneau’s primary traffic corridor safer for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
