After nearly a decade of collaboration, proHNS and North 57 Land Surveying have officially joined forces, bringing engineering and land surveying together under one roof to better serve clients across Southeast Alaska.
By combining surveying with our existing engineering, construction administration, environmental, and technical services, proHNS is making it easier for public agencies, Tribal governments, municipalities, private developers, and homeowners to access the expertise they need through a single, coordinated team.
“We’ve shared projects and clients for years, so this was a natural decision for everyone involved. Bringing these services in-house allows us to provide a more seamless experience for our clients while maintaining the local knowledge and relationships that both companies have built over many years,” said proHNS Principal Engineer Lucas Chambers, PE.
Founded in Sitka in 2016 by Kelly O’Neill, PLS, and later expanded with a Juneau office led by his son Sean O’Neill, PLS, North 57 Land Surveying has earned a reputation for providing thorough, reliable, and high-quality service to even the most rugged, remote spots in Southeast Alaska.
“We have a really superb team of surveyors, and I’m excited to see how Lucas and Garret continue supporting our existing clients while growing our capabilities,” said Kelly. “Surveying has given our family the opportunity to work throughout some of Alaska’s most remarkable places, and I’m looking forward to continuing that work alongside the proHNS team.”
The addition creates new opportunities to expand surveying services through proHNS’ recently opened Ketchikan office, strengthening support for clients throughout southern Southeast Alaska, including Ketchikan, Prince of Wales Island, and Metlakatla.
At the same time, North 57 Land Surveying’s established office at 215 Smith Street in Sitka will become proHNS’ permanent office there, reflecting the firm’s belief that the best service comes from maintaining local offices and boots on the ground in the communities it serves.
As of June 28, all surveying services previously provided under the North 57 Land Surveying name will be offered through proHNS. While the name is changing, clients will continue working with the same experienced surveyors they know and trust, now backed by the expanded resources and multidisciplinary expertise of the proHNS team.
Surveying services now available through proHNS include boundary retracement, topographic and as-built surveys, construction staking, subdivision surveys, setback verification, foundation as-builts, and other land surveying services.
