Sam Johnson joined proHNS in the fall of 2024 after graduating with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Montana State University. In addition to his firm grasp on tech tools like AutoCAD and core engineering concepts gained from his studies, Sam achieved hands-on field experience during his engineering internships for the Watcom County Public Works in Bellingham, Washington, and American Constructors in Austin, Texas, before joining the proHNS team. Sam is a determined engineer with a penchant for collaboration and enthusiasm for skill-building. He has already earned his EIT designation and is on track to pursue further engineering accreditation.
Originally from Bellingham, Sam was drawn to the remote and outdoorsy community of Juneau, where proHNS’s headquarters is located. For an avid fly fisherman like Sam, Alaska’s abundant coastal waters and mountain streams are hard to beat. Sam is excited to work on engineering projects like fish passage improvements, which showcase the region’s commitment to maintaining its balanced ecosystems.
