Kelly O’Neill has over two decades of Southeast Alaska surveying experience spanning projects from subdivision design and road improvements to tideland and ALTA surveys. He launched North 57 Land Surveying in 2016, based in Sitka and Juneau, Alaska, and joined the company with proHNS in 2026. Throughout his extensive career, Kelly has provided survey services to municipalities and agencies across Southeast Alaska, including the USDA Forest Service, the Alaska DOT&PF, the City and Borough of Juneau, the City and Borough of Sitka, the Municipality of Skagway, and the Haines Borough. He specializes in pre-engineering design surveys, boundary surveys, and layout. Kelly is a member of the Alaska Society of Professional Land Surveyors and National Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
Kelly has been a long-time resident of Sitka, Alaska. The small-town life, along with the wildness and beauty that is very much part of living in southeast Alaska is what has kept him and his family rooted to this part of the world. That terrain as well as the weather, however, do present challenges when surveying, but that’s part of the allure for Kelly in working in Alaska.
