Dane joined proHNS in May 2023, bringing his expertise in hydraulic and hydrologic engineering to the firm. Formerly the SR Hydraulics Engineer with AK DOT&PF, Dane’s extensive career and education has allowed him to continue to expand his skill sets as a civil and environmental engineer. He graduated with his B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Northern Arizona University in 2012 and is soon to add a M.S. in Water Resources Engineering from Colorado State University, where Dane’s primary focus is on hydraulics and hydrology.

His aptitudes include hydraulic design, hydrologic estimates, physical hydraulic modeling, erosion and sediment control, civil construction administration, hydrogeological and geotechnical site characterizations, as well as environmental permitting and compliance. Aligning with proHNS’s growing geographical reach of projects, Dane is a certified PE in both Alaska and Colorado, as well as a CFM (Certified Floodplain Manager).

Outside of the “office,” Dane is ready to hit the slopes in any powder-heavy mountain town thanks to his Level I Avy Certification. In addition to a passion for mountain sports, he also enjoys going sailing on his boat, on which Dane has previously taken a two-year sabbatical to sail across the Pacific Ocean.
