The ongoing FAA-funded project will remove the main runway’s existing pavement to full depth and replace it with four inches of hot mix asphalt on a six-inch stabilized foamed asphalt base. With an office engineer and two grade/paving inspectors working on this project, the proHNS Contract Manager worked from our Juneau office to ensure the three proHNS staff members working on the remote site were performing above expectations and fulfilling all contract requirements. Our Office Engineer filed required documents, coordinated meetings, tabulated work items for payment, and performed other administrative duties, while our grade/paving inspectors ensured the contractor’s work complied with all plans and specifications.
